Some Glad Tomorrow

You have left our presence now

To walk in the presence of God.

And though we'll miss you here,

We'd not bring you back to walk

This old earth's sin-cursed sod.

You have left the streets of earth

To walk on the street of gold,

Where sickness, sin and sadness

Can touch you never again,

Nor time make you grow old.

Our sorrow is your joy,

Our loss, your gain.

Our emptiness, your fulfillment,

Our hurt, your freedom from pain.

Though we may cry today

As we express our sorrow,

We will look forward to a

Time when once again we meet

On some glad tomorrow.
