Nehemiah 10:17b NASB

"But Thou art a God of forgiveness,
Gracious and compassionate,
Slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness;
And Thou didst not forsake them."
 
 

Anyone who has experienced salvation and a daily walk with God has truly experienced Him as described in those words of Nehemiah. He goes on to relate many times of rebellion by the Israelites and forgiveness by God until in verse 28 he says, "And many times Thou didst rescue them according to Thy compassion." How thankful I am for a loving, compassionate, merciful, forgiving, longsuffering God.
