God's Protection
Hebrews 13:5,6
"5 [Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord [is] my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."
There are so many times the Lord has protected us and we were not even aware of it. On the news we heard of a couple that moved to Oregon to escape the crime in California. After arriving in Salem they parked their U-Haul truck containing all their possessions in a motel parking lot. It was stolen. When we came here from Wyoming we parked our U-Haul truck containing all of our possessions in a church parking lot for several days. How easy it could have disappeared!
We went to the mall one morning--a place we seldom visit. It was a pleasant shopping trip. Later that same day there was a shooting in the same mall!
One has to wonder how many times God has protected when we didn't know it. We could cite so many times we do know about. Can we ever be thankful enough? Lord, make us aware of Your presence and Your protection, then give us thankful hearts!
